Golf Croquet Foundation Course

Start playing Golf Croquet with confidence.

Our Golf Croquet Foundation Course is designed for players who are new to the game, as well as players with a handicap of 11+ who want to build a stronger foundation and improve their game.

This one-day course introduces the essential skills and rules of Golf Croquet in a practical and supportive setting. You will develop your ability to control the ball, run hoops and make effective tactical choices during a game.

What you will learn:

  • The basic rules and principles of Golf Croquet

  • Developing reliable and confident croquet strokes

  • Accurate ball placement

  • Hoop running

  • Clearing an opponents ball

  • The basic tactical decisions that help you play more effectively

The emphasis is on understanding the game, developing good habits and giving you the confidence to put your skills into practice.

SHORT CROQUET

Learn to Play Short Croquet in a Day

Discover Association Croquet the easy way.

This one-day course is designed for complete beginners and Golf Croquet players who would like to discover Association Croquet. Using a half-size lawn makes it easier to understand how the game works and gives you plenty of opportunity to practise its essential skills.

No previous Association Croquet experience is needed.

During the day you will:

  • Learn the basic principles of Short and Association Croquet

  • Understand the roquet shot and some of the basic laws

  • Learn the essential croquet strokes, controlling and placing both balls during a croquet stroke

  • Understand what a break is and how to build one

  • Learn how to keep a break going

  • Put your new skills into practice on the lawn

The emphasis throughout the day is on learning by doing, with practical coaching to help you understand the game and start playing with confidence.

ASSOCIATION CROQUET COURSES

Improving Your Croquet Strokes

Develop greater accuracy and control.

Accurate ball placement is at the heart of good Association Croquet.

This focused one-day course is designed for players who want to understand their croquet strokes better and develop the accuracy and consistency needed to lower their handicap and progress towards more advanced play.

During the day you will:

  • Explore the full range of croquet strokes

  • Learn how to control the placement of both balls

  • Understand the ratios available from different strokes

  • Develop a better understanding of your own personal ratios

  • Practise producing those ratios consistently

  • Identify technical improvements that can increase accuracy

Academy coaches will observe your technique and, where useful, use video analysis to help you see and understand your stroke more clearly.

The afternoon moves into supervised play, allowing you to apply the day's technical work in game situations.

Suitable for: Players with a handicap of 2–10

One-to-One & Small Group Coaching

One-to-one and small group coaching gives you the opportunity to focus on the parts of your game that matter most to you.

You might want help with a particular shot, improve your technique, understand tactics or prepare for competitive play.

Individual coaching is available at £25 per hour.
